Introduction: 

A few days back we took a look at the VIZO Ares internal HDD enclosure (Reviewed Here), and now we are going to look at another VIZO offering, this time we are going to go external, with the VIZO Luxon external HDD enclosure.

Let's get on with the review and see if the Luxon is worth your consideration if you need a external HDD enclosure. This particular drive enclosure retails for approximately $30-$40 USD, making it a very affordable enclosure, Let's see how it performs....

First Impressions:

After opening the box, it was pretty much what I was expecting, at first view the Luxon looks pretty normal and nothing major really jumped out at me. That being said, the Luxon is a drive enclosure and there really isn't a huge "WOW" factor to enclosures, they are pretty basic and built for a purpose, so you can't really be expecting to be blown away from just looking at the enclosure.

Quality-wise at first inspecting, seems quite good, the outer casing is metal, which is very nice, and appears to be sturdy enough to withstand a beating. For a drive enclosure retailing for $30-$40 USD I was overall impressed with the quality of the Luxon enclosure.
