Zune HD is here and betterIt seems that PCWorld like the new Zune HD and the solid improvements made on this player over the previous Zune PMPs. I’m still waiting to get one in Canada.
PCMag shows off the iPod Touch vs. the Zune HD touch screen if you want to know which one is best. Too bad you can’t
get third party apps. Thankfully you may be able to
port apps to your Zune HD from iPhone.Google Releases A Nuke. Apple won’t win this fight..
Techcrunch has some information that was previously unpublished regarding the fact that Apple did indeed block the Google Voice app. Why does this matter? Apple said they didn’t and they got caught lying. I’m sure that AT&T is behind it, but Apple is the one that denied the App.
Microsoft Offers College Students Windows 7 Pro at Snow Leopard Prices Until January 2010This is one of Microsoft’s best moves to sell Windows 7 for $30. Unfortunately, you have to be a college/university student, but it is nice to see that they are willing to bend and give discounts. Now if we can somehow get an application for college and submit it for our discount… Windows 7 Pro is estimated to retail for $200 MSRP, and this is a great $170 discount.
Music Publishers Feel that iTunes is not paying their fair share.Music publishers feel that they should get paid for the 30-second song clip that you hear in iTunes or Zune marketplace. This is ridiculous and I think that we should all start claiming fair use and sharing music in order to protest. Or, grab music for free from some companies like
Smashing Pumpkins or
Nine Inch Nails. Not my first choice in music, but these guys are giving it away for free.
Hands on With HP DreamScreen.
If you want a non-touch screen (touch frame) internet connected device, the HP DreamScreen may be for you. It looks like a digital picture frame with a PSP-esque interface. It’s a cross between a picture frame, weather station, facebook app and more. What would you use it for?
InformationWeek has more details. ViewSonic tried this in the past = Epic FAIL.
HP Tries to strike Envy with latest laptopsJason says these Envy laptops look like Apple Macbook Pros. I disagree with a few points, but it is super stylish regardless. When you buy a laptop, do you buy for style (HP, Toshiba, Alienware) or do you buy because of the brand/OS? We’d love your feedback.
DirectX 11 is not revolutionary – won’t boost GPU sales.
XBitLabs talks about the fact that DX11 won’t boost sales of graphics cards. DX10 is good enough – but there is always room for improvements.
