Page 1 of 2 Well, Day 1 has come and gone, and it indeed proved to be extremely
busy for us, we met with around 14 different companies and were able to
view some of their newest gear. I'll highlight some of the products we
saw at Arctic Cooling, Trust, Sandisk, Lian Li, Transcend, as well as
some highlights from the "Tigerdirect Build Your Own PC for Charity"
event.
Arctic Cooling
Arctic Cooling has long been known as one of the premiere cooling companies, and our visit with them was very interesting. This year at CES they have launched a few new products.
The Accelero Xtreme is Arctic Cooling's new solution for the 8800GT, GTX, and Ultra video cards, which features 3 80mm PWM fans on 5 heatpipes. They also have a similar looking solution for the ATI 2900 series cards.

Arctic Cooling has also released the Freezer Xtreme, which is an 8 heatpipe, 226 fin cooler with a 120mm PWM fan that is located in the center of the cooler. This cooler looks pretty neat, and will also be pretty quiet in your case.

Another product release is Arctic Cooling's Fussion 550R power supply, which is a 550 Watt that is high-effeciency and extremely quiet. This is Arctic Cooling's first power supply, and could be a nice size for the average user.

Last but not least, Arctic Cooling has also announced a new line of Ram Coolers, the Arctic RC.

For more information on Arctic Cooling you can check out their website over here, and these new products should eventually be making their way onto the website shortly.
Trust
We had the opportunity to meet with Trust, a company that might not be so familiar to North American users, but is widely known in European markets. For those unfamiliar with Trust, they are an peripherals company that produces products such as Mice, Keyboards, Gamepads and Joysticks, Webcams, Speakers, iPod docks and accessories, headsets, design tablets, and more. We were quite impressed with their range of products, as well as the look of many of their products, and hopefully in the future we will be able to take a much closer look at some of them. For more information on Trust, as well as all their product that they offer, head on over to their website.
Below we've got a few pictures of some of the many products that Trust is showcasing at CES 2008.
Sandisk
Today was the Sandisk yearly press conference at CES, and we were able to attend and get a nice overview of what the company is working on, as well as being able to see some of their new releases. Sandisk is a pioneer in the flash media market, and they aren't sitting around, they are continuing to push the boundaries of the flash media market, and that quite evident with releases like their new 12GB micro-SD flash cards. They are predicting that with high-capacity micro-SD cards becoming more and more available at an affordable price, products such as mobile phones are truely going to benefit the most.
Other notable releases were the Sandisk line of SSD hard drives, a new line of Sandisk Video HD SD cards, as well as a new Cruzer Titanium Plus flash drive (4GB) that will feature automatic online backup, so even if your drive gets lost or stolen, all your information is available securely online in a password-protected account that you can setup.
We will be having a one-on-one meeting with Sandisk later on in the week, where we will be able to get some hands on time with their new products, make sure to check back for that, as Sandisk has some really exciting new products this year.
